I keep getting asked which AI companion site is actually worth it, so I'm just going to put my thoughts down once and link people here. Short version, after trying a bunch of them, SweetDream over at sweetdream.ai is the one I tell my friends about without hesitating.

Let me run through why. First, the personalization goes deep, you design your companion's appearance, voice, personality and history instead of settling for someone generic. Second, the conversations feel natural and warm and she remembers context, so it never resets back to that awkward stranger phase. Third, the photos and videos she generates are honestly some of the best I've seen, consistent and detailed.

The only reasons why I would say I use Twitter are for keeping up with news for my current interests, especially Transformers. It is an excellent way to keep up to date for things like recent toys, TF One tidbits and the occasional beautiful piece of artwork that I stumble upon..

However..

There are.. so many people on that platform that are rather brash about Megatron and Optimus Prime having a close relationship with each other. Not only do they constantly berate those who like the ship, but they always use the reasoning of "incest".

...Do they know what 'brothers in arms' means? Have they even looked at the designs??

They often do this take for the live action Bay movies, but you see an example of actual siblings in them... and they look similar. Not completely different like those versions of Optimus and Megatron. I dare say they're the most different looking versions compared to others and their differences.

I'll be honest, it's kind of... Cybertronian-phobic. If it was said in world where we did exist physically as actual alien beings, we'd take offense to it. Oh, and it's obviously tainted with homophobia as well, especially considering that they mostly bring up Elita as being the better partner for Optimus, which I'll definitely touch on.

This leans more into personal territory, but I really never saw Megatron as a brother, not even a brother in arms. Sure, he mentored me, but that was for friendship that later blossomed into love before wilting away. He always saw me as a close partner, until he couldn't. I did as well. We loved each other dearly, and even after all our conflict, I think we still did deep in our sparks.

But all they say is that it can't be possible. That these two rivals, enemies can't have any close relationship because it goes against the story and has less emotion than if they were friends.

How DARE they.

Yes, I did feel very terrible about losing someone I could consider one of my closest friends.. but most of my despair was about the fact that we could have done so much together as lovers. For Primus' sake, I wanted him as my Conjunx! If we were merely friends or brothers in arms, I would not have been so merciful, fond and kind to him as his enemy.

And then they say that Optimus should be paired with Elita instead.

Well, guess what?

SHE WAS ACTUALLY MY SISTER. WE'RE RELATED!!

Primus, I can't stand some of these people. Maybe I should start blocking them..

I'm tired of seeing content about TFP MegaStar, and not even a shred of TFA MegaStar.

Oh, so when our relationship has a clear, abusive power imbalance, that's when you find it interesting, but when there's a more equal power level between us (that would be more interesting to explore, mind you) you don't even care?

I've seen art, writing and speculation all about me and someone I had never even began to love. But what of me and someone who had I loved quite strongly? Barren.

Fuck me, there's actually a few moments in TFA between me and Starscream that would have people screaming over it if it happened in TFP. We have a lot more moments of tension between each other in canon, and yet? No one seems to even think about it much.

Sure, I didn't fancy Starscream anymore after his whole backstabbing spree (probably) and that's what people see in canon.. but I'm still frustrated.

I just want to see content of us in a relationship that actually happened, but instead everyone focuses on an alternate version of us where there's usually a power imbalance, or the one continuity I remember said power imbalance.

...Or maybe I miss Starscream more than I think. And hate Megatron more than I thought.

Elita was my sister!

Now that I look at her design, it's almost glaringly obvious.. We were siblings.

We even had similar names at the start of our lives.

Hers, Ariel. Mine.. Aria.

I originally had what humans would consider a feminine build, and I had it changed around the time I was or was going to be working as an archivist. That is, I was trans. (And I still am now.)

I think she definitely supported me with it. Must have been the first to call me Orion.

She was always the more energetic and daring between the two of us. When the war had started, I believe she led her own team of fighters of some sort..

She never got the chance to see me as a Prime.

while on the topic of talking about character ai rps, they brought up that compared to their actual family, fictional characters somehow tend to be kinder to them and care for them more.

it really made me think for a moment..

they don't know, but i would say i am (technically) a fictional character too... and im one of their closest friends. i care for them so, so much, with my whole spark and beyond.

i suppose that also makes me one of those characters..

Already it's been something that's bothered me the whole of this current life, but now it feels worse because I literally have a truck alt-mode, I shouldn't be feeling so uneased on the road!

I even feel a sort of closeness and belonging to driving on the road now, but it's always accompanied by an irritating, mild nausea when I actually get in a car as a passenger.

And I can't even be a truck and go out for drives myself anymore...

On the contrary though, I quite enjoy seeing other trucks and other types of vehicles on the road now. Especially when they're brightly colored! Reminds me of others, or even myself.

Ah, and I'm not as afraid of learning to drive anymore! We'll see how that turns out in the future.

My source has very recently gotten unused scripts and cut-out scenes revealed and even fully animated and voiced by the actual voice actor!

Well, mine, that is.

As it turns out, one of the cut scenes that included me was something I actually did! I don't feel like mentioning what it was exactly, I think it'd be a bit rude of me.. But I remember it!
