Fascinating. One must wonder if Ore-13 has psychological effects. I can definitely see the contrast between the reserved, calculating commander in Infiltration (the characterization that’s returned to in MtMtE) and the increasingly diabolical Megatron of Escalation. Another in-universe example of this is Nucleon, the super-charged fuel favored by the D.J.D, which definitely impacts a ‘bot’s impulse control and reasoning.
I think it’s likely that the same effect is what drove Starscream’s particularly clumsy scheme in Infiltration.
In an ironic twist, it’s very possible that the windfall of abundant energy on Earth is what ultimately led to the downfall of the Decepticons.
