Following a certain podcast episode being posted, I am jumping on the pancake day trend.
(Meaning I am working on a mini comic I will post on AO3 for now here is pancake makin Alex)
alex horne on the transformative taskmaster podcast, talking about fanfic (and other things)
I did this little doodle for Alex’s episode of the Transformative Taskmaster podcast which if you haven’t listened to it you simply must 🙏 @transformativetaskmaster new fav podcast for sure
hearing that alex was on the transformative taskmaster podcast got me thinking what id ask him in that context. i think id start with a quote from laura antoniou's 2019 blog post, "Why I wrote. Why I write," in which she discusses her interest in stories about what it means "to really give up power and to really accept responsibility." alex, what do you think about the appeal of power exchange and how it seems to transcend time and context? what are some examples of dynamics similar to yours and greg's that you grew up with? what do you think the utility is of play--specifically, of entering or constructing a world of rules within which one is encouraged to act however they'd like? elizabeth freeman theorizes that kink practices can create what she calls "queer time." when playing in the taskmaster world, do you ever get the sense of a separate universe with an alternate flow of time? why do you think that is? why have we as humans always imagined lives apart from our own and acted them out? how does that affect our concept of reality? sorry id rather die than go back to college so i have to just write like this sometimes now

Here’s a little taste of this week’s episode. Alex Horne knows the Taskmaster audience.
Remember that time TK said too much to Alex? It’s still one of my favourite moments ever
