Prowljazz ship dynamics according to continuity:
G1/Goopie Boyfriends: If there were a "do not separate under any circumstances" label, it would undoubtedly apply to these two. They're not physically expressive in public, but Carly has mentioned on many occasions seeing them cuddling.
Animated/death slowburn: In the limited interaction they had, they were quite transparent about what they liked about each other. Even Prowl, proud as he is, privately asked Jazz for help completing his training and other things.
Unfortunately, his sacrifice cut short any possible future for them.
IDW/separated by the power of the script: They had very little interaction (because the authors seemed to enjoy seeing Jazz suffer and making Prowl more twisted), but that little information showed that if they had seen each other more, they would have brought out the best in each other (and I'll just say, they were afraid of success).
aligned continuity/long-distance lovers: They're always too busy to spend time together; but that's something that can't be solved with a quick call reminding the other to take care of themselves, keep eating energon, get plenty of rest, and that they love each other.
They couldn't even enjoy the events of Cybertron's resurrection thanks to the Council's STUPID list of threats. They have a promise that when it's all over, they'll go to a distant planet for a proper "honeymoon" (although Prowl doesn't quite grasp what the moon has to do with anything or what honey is to a vacation).
Cyberverse/ separated because of Megatron: They were both conjux before the events of the series; and while Prowl remained neutral, Jazz joined the Autobot cause to mediate with the Decepticons before the civil war erupted. Jazz believed that a resolution could be reached through dialogue, but unfortunately, she was murdered by Megatron, and with her died the possibility of a peaceful resolution. Prowl joined to protect what she once held dear. He occasionally misses his wife.
Earthsparks/ Someone wrote fan fiction instead of gathering information: Prowl is embarrassed that he wasn't in his right mind when questioned about the saboteur, because instead of providing an accurate report, he blurted out everything he liked about him. Now all the Terrans and half the GHOST base believe they're in a formal relationship when they're barely even colleagues; moreover, Jazz is completely estranged from the Autobots thanks to a huge fight he had with Optimus, and no one can verify his side of the story.
Energon continuity/too tired for anything: With how disastrous the Skybound comics are, they're too physically and mentally worn out for any kind of healthy bond other than that of teammates
Worst bot ever!/ They're married, their honor: once again they're a very Goopie couple. Prowl being the one who tolerates Jazz's jokes the most (even though they're terrible) and Jazz reminding him that he should take a break from his watch. Funfact= Jazz hates Prowl's mustache, but lets him keep it because it makes him happy.
TfONE/Nanny or mate?: Prowl knows that Jazz is excessively prone to accidents in the mine and therefore tries to take extra care of him when their shifts overlap... but many times he becomes so excessive that the line between being a devoted partner to someone who cares for a Mechlin is blurred, and Jazz tends to feel suffocated.
