Take A Slice - Starscream x Reader pt 1
☆ Taking the lift up, up, up to the elevated office, you opened the door to your work station. Waving to another human who had taken over while you went on a lunch break, and trading off. You sat down at the computer desk, futzing a bit with your things before looking up at the line. Greeting the orange and blue robot before you.
Always busy. That's what it felt like working behind the massive desk in the “skybox”. Like there was always something to do.
You were thankful you didn't have a more labourous job like the delivery crew or the others, but you definitely didn't expect this for your “customer service” job that you applied to. Loved that little sign on bonus too much not to apply, though now you wondered if buying that new air fryer and set of non-warped pans was worth this. But dealing with the giant, alien robots, some of whom had tempers and such at being told “no”… Well.
☆ His pede tapped passive-aggressively as he glowered ahead. He'd HOPED to have gotten the other little fleshie for his order, but NO. Once again, it was you. The bane of his existence. One if many, sure, but to be so small, yet so audacious and lazy and mouthy-
He vented impatiently. You were taking your time. Probably saw who was behind this pathetic scrapheap ahead of him and were doing this JUST to spite him. Why was it ALWAYS you? He had complained so many times about your behaviors to the other humans and your higher-ups.
Felt his engine snarl as you laughed slightly at some pathetic joke the imbecile before you made while you catalogued and processed his order. Energon, plus some treats the humans had been working on making to branch out and allow them more variety and better quality fuels.
☆ Waving slightly as you finished tabbing in the order that Supply would try getting over the course of the month, you called out a “next” and… internally withered at the Cybertronian that stepped forward. Him again. God, please, cause a catastrophic structural failure and bring the little elevated office down in a crushing death trap.
“I have the paperwork. Yet again, I would like to order. Some. High-grade. Energon.”
You sighed, not even looking at the computer. Giving those glowing red eyes a tired stare...
“We go through this every week. We had high-grade one time, it was immediately bought up. We do not have it anymore. We have been struggling to properly synthesize it to Cybertronian quality standards. We're working with what we got. You can get the basic, the lowgrade, or the midgrade. That's what we have.”
☆ Pompous little fleshy organic worm, he swore-!
“Energon wine.”
“Bought up. Last bot just ordered the remains of it..”
Damn you, damn you-! “Blue energon.”
“Uhhhm-” He watched as you turned, looking at the little computer you had. Tapping a few keys. “I didn't eve know it came in blue. I don't know if the RnD guys know either. I'll shoot them a message, can we send you some forms to fill out so we have a better-”
“This is OUTRAGEOUS,” he snarled, wings flaring. “You deny my fuel AGAIN?!”
☆ Holy shit, you hated this loser. Glaring, you stood, crossing your arms. “Sir, I'm not denying you your fuel, you keep asking for things we dont HAVE and-”
“CHANCELLOR. Starscream,” the black and red mech growled, ducking so he could loom over you. One hand braced against a support beam, the other on his hip as he glared balefully down at you. You office may have been lifted up higher for the ease of the Cybertronians to be able to speak to you, but it wasn't high enough that you didn't have to tip your head back with some bots. Like Starscream.
You scoffed at him. Arms crossing. Ignoring the stares and looks from other aliens watching the free show. “Listen here, don't cop an attitude with me. I'm not calling you that, SIR. We do this every week. Do you want the basic, do you want to pay more for midgrade, or less for lowgrade. These are the options. We have explained to you several times that we can't synthesize these things easily, and if you want my opinion, I obviously can never help you. Perhaps you should try Swindle or Swerve at this point.”
“Insolent little organic SLUG, I should-”
“Aaand I'm done serving you. Someone tell me when he leaves, and I'll help again,” you scoffed, grabbing your closed sign and setting it up. The other bots in line were getting antsy, shouting. Angry. Frustrated that everything was being held up because of this JERK.
☆ Starscream watched as you turned to walk away, and saw red. How dare you, how DARE you dismiss him like that!! He reached over, and the thrill he felt when you shrieked and started kicking was delicious as he plucked you up, before storming out of the building being used for orders and delivery depot. Ignoring your swears and flailing as he stalked out with you.
“You do not speak to me that way, squishy,” the seeker purred, sneering down at you. “You and I? We will be having a conversation regarding manners.”
