Its very inspiring to see so many over 50’s be interested in achieving the best they can. But I just wonder how many of you could keep fit if the weather is against you. Of course if you run or cycle or swim this is very good stuff. But do you ever think about the different types of outdoor fitness you could be doing like jumping over logs or running backwards off road. Why Im focusing here is because getting our entire body(since it is one big muscle) used to doing exercise that is not the norm is likely to help avoid injury from falls that the elderly often may have but if you do will lessen the chances of as you age. One of my annoying conditions is raynaulds syndrome. Its not very helpful when the weather drops to freezing(the irony is even in warm temp I get attacks). But as you know I post a lot of exercise outdoors and this morning the temperature was hovering around freezing and my fingers and toes were really suffering even though was wearing double socks. The following couple of exercises is what I do and I wasn’t about to let the cold beat me how about you? #trailrunninglife #trailjumping #logjumping #outdoorfitness (at Camlet Moat) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIgJ8UKD1jM/?igshid=pysfwv7stvax
