Notes: This song displays what I really like about Kajto: catchiness and humor. Not much to say translation-wise, other than I think that poetically, this song is really well constructed.

Notes: 1) Esperanto doesn’t have a word that matches this sense of the English “child.” I used ido because it means offspring, but not necessarily young offspring (as infano does). 2) I probably missed a few accusatives because it’s almost midnight and when I’m sleepy, accusatives are the first to go. 3) Also the, “Old Lady” joke doesn’t really work, so I tried to make a word that could feasibly be a girlfriend or a mother. 4) “In flagrante delicto” is a Latin phrase and therefore is untranslated. 5) I used festi instead of celebri or soleni because celebri and soleni both refer to religious events.  6) I translated “The People’s Court” ‘cuz I figured it’s an obscure enough reference that leaving it in English wouldn’t help anything. Also, I’m uncertain if “episode” should be considered an independent noun or a unit of measure.

Notes:

This song is by Inicialoj d.c., a band that I tend to like. Their stuff makes me relax.

"Je," used repeatedly in the second stanza is a non-specific preposition that indicates the need for a preposition, but without an exact, literal meaning. Based on context, I decided "in" or "of" would make the best approximations, but I'm not sure because those are both used elsewhere in the same context. I don't know why they used "je" and not something more clear.

"Nepra ago" comes from "nepre" (undoubtedly, without fail, absolutely) and "ago," (action). The phrase means that the two took photos every Sunday without fail, but there was no good way to include "action" in the English, so I went with something that would still be understood.

Tumblr couldn't format its way out of a cardboard box.

Notes: A song which I enjoy. It's catchy, though I don't remember if I like the artist in general. Maybe not. Very little to say about the translation, only that "Jam de longa tempo" literally means "By now from a long time" or "Already from a long time." The "de" probably isn't strictly proper, but it's understandable.

Notes: Last day of LPG "week," last song available on Tumblr. I like their music, love the vocals, but man are they tough to translate. LPG uses "em" a lot, which is a suffix used to indicate a tendency towards something. It sounds simple, but it actually can cause some difficulties since it doesn't translate well, especially when used as a verb. Some special notes about the part of the chorus that starts "Triangulo:" I don't think those are actual words (after the first line), but rather just words said to sound nice together, that's why I marked them with asterisks. The translations I gave are what they might be if they were meant as real words. "Unu la alian" is the set phrase for "One another"

Note: This video is the only way I could find to share this song without (illegally) uploading it myself. This is the full song, with only one audible difference (the part with the laughs), set to film from a seminar in Wewelsburg (which Wikipedia tells me is in Germany). The people playing in the video don't seem to be Martin & la Talpoj (but I've been wrong before).

Notes: "Lakto kaj Miel'" Translates to "Milk and Honey" In the first verse, "Malapreco" was translated as "distaste" because English does not have a clear opposite for "Appreciation." "Haveno" can mean "Haven," but "Harbor" better fits the boat themes that come up. "Mutas" is not a word that I can find anywhere, but I'm assuming Martin borrowed the verb "To Mute" (which would be "muti") and used it. I can't find it attested anywhere else. "Interspacoj," here translated as "spaces in-between" literally means "between-spaces." "Trudkileto" seems to be a compound word of "trudi" (to force), "kilo" (keel) and "eta" (little). If you don't know what a keel is, look it up. "Malkonstruiĝi" literally means "to become the opposite of constructed" which might be somehow be different from being destroyed (which is "destruiĝi") This was one of the first Esperanto songs that I really remember loving.
