I remember some comment by the author (I think read here) about the design of the volume covers, specially the heraldic like shield used, do you remember something about it? I'm looking for a picture of the shield in particular

it’s not explicitly stated but he has a smoke in MAG 80, which lets Elias pipe Leitner to death, and he’s mentioned to still be carrying around the lighter in both MAG 91 and 111 so, y’know... it’s there

For some reason I find Ulasht so evocative by itself could be the focus of one or two sessions, I imagine the party has a call for help from somewhere previously visited and they have to investigate until they discover what it is maybe reaching to selesnya and gruul areas to ask. it starts with aggressive sapprolings, one flower like head or two at first until they notice they are part of the same creature, if they cut too many they'll have to start the final fight against more than 5 heads

I’m glad you liked Ulasht! There’s a lot of different ways that a fight with it could go, and it’s definitely meant to be a sort of “set piece” encounter. I actually made some lair actions and things to go along with it, but I didn’t include those in the post because the page was mostly empty room, and it didn’t look very pretty.
I debated over including this, but I suppose adding it here works just as well.
The simic could have cat girls and catboys an they just are not brave enough to leave the marine aesthetic
(ok to be fair the marine aesthetic is nice as hell, we got shimmering scales and tentacles and manta ray wings and flowy fins for days, god all simic design is so pretty)
you're right though, there is virtually infinite untapped potential in catgirls. a promising avenue of evolution for the greatest guild on ravnica.
