Roommate: *on speaker phone with friend streaming movie on laptop and talking*

Me: *ticcing internet memes and a very loud whistle tic*

Roommate’s friend: what that background noise

Me: just the roommate with tourette

Roommate and friend: go back to watching and talking

Me: *whistle tics*

Friend: what is the noise

Roommate: what noise?

Me: *whistles*

Friend: That!

Roommate: oh that’s my roommate

Roommate/me: *overlaping* it’s a tic. Tourette Syndrome. Can’t control it.

So less than twenty minutes before my honors class (which is as long as two classes and the first half is in an auditorium with 200 other students) I pick up this new tic

On top of the noise, it tickles my lips (which is absolute torture. It doesn’t sound bad, but this sound vibrates my lips and tickles + lips is not a fun combo) and the way I do it, it causes the very bottom of my throat to ache and become sore.

I have a great new vocal tic where I quote an old childhood book.

Anybody remember Go Dog Go? It’s like a doctor suess book of some sort. I think. The last time I read it was like 6 YEARS ago.

Well my tic is that one scene with the two passive aggressive dogs.

“Hello”

“Hello again”

“Do you like my hat?”

“No, I do not.” (Alt. “No, I don’t like your hat”)

“Goodbye”

“Goodbye again”

Yo so I have a question to ask y’all.

How did you know you had the cussing tic?

Cause I haven’t had it ever, but now I’m feeling the urge to yell cuss words.

I already have a tic where I call my friend thirsty/sl*t/Wh*re words like that.

But that’s just that tic. Now I want to yell other things that are not appropriate.

If I were to start a blog that reviews books (and possibly other media) that has characters with Tourette, how many of you would read it? (By if I start a blog, I mean after I finish the one I’m reading i will)
