Jace had never been so terrified. A few weeks ago, he hadn’t even met his own king and now he was meeting the king of Lionsdale. While Cainhart was of a similar size, it had nowhere near as much of a presence in the world. It was also strange being referred to as Lord Trentham when the title didn’t even exist two weeks ago. He’d spent what little he had studying Lionsdale’s culture as well as how he was going to explain the situation to the king. He wasn’t even able to figure out how much of the situation they were aware of. He took a deep breath just as he was presented before the king. He gave the king a deep bow. The books he’d read, said that was a bit archaic but he figured,it was best to be on the safe side. “Your majesty, I come as ambassador of Cainhart to share news of your engagement to Prince Thelio. King Heran believes his son needs time to grow and mature before he is ready to marry anyone, let alone an accomplished ruler such as your self. King Heran humbly requests you release Prince Thelio from the engagement.” That was the real crux of the matters. Reputation could recover over time but he could only imagine how steep the financial penalty for breaking an engagement like this would be.

“Ow...” Theo squinted as his eyes fluttered open. His whole body ached, his head was pounding and the bright light burned his eyes. He glanced around the cavernous room slowly, examining the large windows and white walls for any hint of his location. Theo made an attempt to sit up, and hop out of the bed, but a searing pain made him wince and gasp. “Fuck! Goddamn! Oh.” 

Finally noticing the man to his left, Theo focused on him. “Sorry. Didn’t mean to curse. Where am I?” He fell back against the pillows, already exhausted. “Who’re you?”

Evan shifted in his seat uncomfortably, but kept the smile plastered to his face. He’d been dating his father for close to two years now and he was excited to see where tonight would take them. He sat across from his father in the heavily populated restaurant. “I’m thinking about getting the steak and potatoes. Kinda boring, but I’m really hungry for meat tonight,” he said with a sly wink, licking his lips. His father had promised to knock him up tonight and finally get started on a family of their own. He’d also promised to do it at the restaurant. He didn’t care if that meant fucking him on this table in front of everyone or doing it in the bathroom. It truly didn’t matter because it’d be special and hot either way. “What about you? My big, strong Daddy needs to eat a good meal to keep him sustained.” He ran his foot up his father’s leg beneath the table, keeping his eyes locked with him. “Or were you thinking of skipping straight to dessert?”

“I don’t make the rules” The older man said as he removes the travel gloves off his hands, just enough to show the other how the skin seemed to bubble for a moment only for the muscle to partially metamorphosize into the Beast’s stronger limbs. “There’s a reward for keeping you safe and if I have to literally. BABYSIT you. I will do it” despite the harshness of his words, however, he seems pretty relaxed and amicable, going as far as to offer the male some of the dried meat he’d been snacking on for energy. “So what’s it gonna be? I’m stuck to you for a week and I’m more resourceful than you’d expect”

“Wow that’s awesome, thank you.” Life couldn’t be better for Quinton, he was one of the youngest people to at his firm to make senior partner. He had won one of the biggest case of his career; he made sure a mafia boss faced three life sentences for his crimes. And now he was going to be honored at a ceremony for the 40 most influential individuals under 40. Despite all his accomplishment, he felt something was missing and he knew what it was. His life love had been placed on the furthest back burner. He couldn’t remember the last time he was on date or let had sex. He had tried dating apps but he couldn’t find anyone that he made a connection with. Men soon realized he was a ‘bad texter’ but that’s cause often loose himself in his case.  He really wanted a date to his ceremony and honestly considered hiring an escort but his pride didn’t let him.  A few days passed and still no date. He had given up on finding a date and decided to go alone. ‘What’s the worst that could happen?’ He asked himself as he walked down the busy street to his favorite lunch spot. He enjoyed cause it was a small place that didn’t get too busy. But that day had been extra busy and the only open seat was next to a man. He took the seat and ordered him self the usual but this time he added three shots. It was the middle of the day and Quinton and already planning to get drunk.

“Benji boy!” Omar laughed, it had been years since he’d seen the other, back then Benjamin was just another dweeby kid - his friend’s annoying little brother. Now he was all grown up, and grown he fucking was. “Shit man, you go here?” He asked, shoving the boy lightly on the shoulder as his smile brightened, he gestured to the campus as his eyes raked over the other. “Showing all of us up huh.” Omar used to pick on the boy ruthlessly, it had been funny but he was also immature, boys just being boys as Benjamin’s brother all but encouraged it. “You living on campus too or you got a place around here, what are you studying anyways?”
