yk it’s getting bad when you start recognizing ao3 commenters in the same fandom as you. like i recognize about 15 users who i know have the same thing wrong with them as i do
After reading some of the comments and anger over “no song” from Sleep Token today … I am so thankful to be part of a community of fans who are excited for the music.
And I’m even more grateful for the grounding force of a large part of that community. If I was alone in this experience, and in the dark on what to expect, I know I’d be frustrated. Feel like I’d misunderstood and feel dejected.
But instead theres this wonderful group of folks, equally desirous of new music, and respectful of the band’s/label’s teasing, enjoying every puzzle thrown by weatherboy. Ready for the next tidbit, cause it’s better than nothing.
I haven’t enjoyed a community like this in years, mostly due to my own seclusion, and it’s truly an enjoyable experience.
And I’m hopeful that those who are feeling anger or frustration at these little teases and clues can also find solace there. We all wait. We all prepare. And we will all worship when the time comes.
