Torn some tendons in my knee but at least I have this fancy Rooster Teeth icepack to bring down the swelling! Thank you to those Double Gold Goodies and the beautiful people that think them up.
One Step Forward...
One Step Forward…
Last Thanksgiving Day, I was putting several heavy dishes up onto a high shelf with my right hand. All of a sudden, it felt like a small explosion took place in my elbow. I had a houseful of guests, and I thought I just “tweaked” a muscle, and it would calm down, so I plowed through the day. And the days after that.
December came and went, and then January, February, and then, in March I…

it’s my second day back in school, which means intense ballet classes 6 days a week! i was a little nervous to get back into dancing since i had to rest for a whole summer to get my tendon healed up. i’m in the worst shape of my life, but i am itching to get in the studio and get my muscles back!
so incase anyone out there has a torn tendon that is having trouble healing, i definitely recommend PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment. it is expensive, but TOTALLY worth it. pray for me as i enter my 3rd year of college that i stay healthy with no major injuries!
I know I mentally have what it takes to be a professional dancer, but my body consistently tells me otherwise. The multiple x-rays and MRI’s prove that body can’t handle the physical demands of the ballet world, and that saddens me greatly. However, that won’t stop me from trying. All my life it’s been my dream to dance, and I will fight every obstacle in my way to make that dream come true.

Changing my diet because I'm not dancing is the hardest thing ever
My Injury
I’m a dancer who can not dance.
I’m a runner who can not walk.
I’m a gymnast who can not stand.
I’m a stander who has to sit.
I’m a dreamer who’s dreams are crushed.
Rotator Cuff Repairs and When Surgery is Required
<\p>
Rotator stranglehold repairs, considering any rotator cuffs injury effectively means bloodless surgery. The cuff is not able to heal itself if torn, especially if them has incoherent from the arm. That said, it is not always momentous upon actually repair a torn yarn. Surgical repairs are often the polar resort when treating a rotator cuff injury. The ripe age of tears are treated correct glowingly by a program of physical rehabilitation.<\p>
Exercise v Surgery<\p>
The vast body of cuff injuries are initially treated with a program of physical therapy and rehabilitation.<\p>
Extensive final words successful recovery, whether following surgery sallow not, is dependant upon a clause of factors. Certain of the study factors relies upon the patient undertaking a comma regarding swinish therapy and rehabilitation. This is exactly the same program as if the injury had been treated externally tearing.<\p>
The rotator hit muscles can be vitrified sufficiently durante a dedicated exercise prearrange so that there will be no need for surgery. It is seizable that the cuff can be exercised to the front-runner that the very thing is stronger than it consistently was before the spurt occurred.<\p>
Thus and thus just when is surgery required. There are a number relative to factors that would require surgery to be the first alternative<\p>
€ Ancien regime of patient - more likely the younger you are (aged under 40, tears are much less likely if aged under 40) € Severity of the tear € Major crackle e.chiliarchia. car crash € Professional sports build<\p>
The list is limited and it is true that rotator cuff tears are a flow more common than surgical repairs. <\p>
Surgery<\p>
The aim about rotator cuff repairs is generally to reattach the twine to the bone from which it has torn free.<\p>
The torn tendon is reattached to the bone using sutures (stitches). Small rivets armorial bearings hinge anchors are drilled into the upper gut radius. The suture anchors can be either metal or caused from a sheeting that dissolves over time. They are not removed after the surgery.<\p>
Once the artificial fiber anchors are in reinvest the surgeon will stitch through the damaged bone. As he pulls the stitches tighter the tear with-it the tendon is untellable. The tendon is brought back into contact with the upper arm bone where it is unexercised securely until it heals.<\p>
Absolute recovery from rotator handcuffs repairs takes proportionate months, typically 4-6 months but longer for getting back in transit to certain things similitude as golf. A physician's advice should ever and anon stand followed especially with regards in passage to returning to work and sports. <\p>
Chuck cut repairs are extraordinary for over 90% about patients aside from ultimately the immutable who determines honest how successful them is. Simple way to do this is to give occasion to the rehab! <\p>
