La cohetería. Este evento se realiza el 1 de febrero, durante la fiesta patronal de Jacaltenango en honor a la Virgen de Candelaria. Los toritos son realizados por familias, grupos de amigos y/o barrios. En su mayoría los toritos son “promesas” hacia la Virgen. El número de toritos varía año con año puesto que depende de las personas que los hacen. Al terminar su confección los toritos bailan acompañados de la marimba a la espera de la procesión. Luego se encaminan en procesión hacia la Iglesia Católica donde son bendecidos. Y posteriormente inicia la quema de toritos en donde corren en conjunto con hombres y mujeres que acompañan y molestan al toro.
