honestly he's a way more accomplished one: kept all his friends for quite a bit longer than yuki had him, killed likely the same amount or less, didnt fucking die

I also think it’s interesting that both yandere weren’t really,,, typical? Yanderes? As in they did kill for love yes, but that love was often superficial or only an ‘idea’ of love that they projected onto their lover

For example Yuki did kill for both Taurtis and Sam’s affection, however when she got with Sam she expected him to act in a way that was like,,, archetypal of how a lover should act, which could be seen as her pushing her expectations of love and then breaking down when they aren’t met

Also, Sam only REALLY loved yuki to the extent to which she was useful to him, as he starts to treat her as a tool or weapon to threaten people with or use to get them to stay in line because he knows people see her as powerful and threatening:3

This is similar to how Sam ‘loved’ taurtis, in the way he loved the idea of him and the idea of ‘Taurtis’ always being there for him to ,,, cough ,,, have power over ,,, but also for Taurtis to make Sam who he is in terms of identity. Like a yandere, he bases his identity around the one he ‘loves’. So when Taurtis does end up leaving, Sam will do anything to get him back, or rather to get the feeling of stability back
