btw, i did remind him not to touch the glass. him as in tony, not the penguin. that was a joke btw.

every sunday morning, we go to Einstein’s to get bagels with my bf. tony and i both get the garlic bagel, which i recommend with lox and salmon spread, but anyway, its always so much fun until it is time to leave. he starts pretending to be a gate and blocks the door so other ppl cant get in, which luckily everyone has thought is cute and hilarious so far, so anyway, i had to bribe him to leave! i told him we could stop by grama’s house... which i’d usually regret, but i this particular stop by became a 2+hour ordeal because i took advantage of the “stop by” and magically turned it into a “drop off,” which is not the usual thing. during this time, i got my hair done, which was a relief because it was an emergency. one more bun day and i would have been forced to cut it off. when my bf and i return to pick tony up, of course he doesn’t want to leave, cried a ton, even runs back into grama’s house, all the way in the back -_-, etc. I told him we could go to the zoo, and he didn’t want to go, so we headed to mcdonalds for a little snack. when tony realizes we aren’t going to the zoo, he whines that he wants to go to the zoo -_-. i asked him if he would like to take a happy meal with us to the zoo, and he replied in a sad voice “no i want a sad one, i just wanna be sad,” as silly as it was (because he just didn’t wanna leave grama’s), my eyes still watered. I told him we could get a sad meal, but of course we didn’t wanna order it that way thru the drive through because my bf and i both thought the cashier would just think we were fucking with them and somehow ive managed to be kicked out of drive thrus? i dnt even play like that smh but anyway, tony heard my bf order the “happy meal” and he started to freak because he wanted a sad one. i explained to him that it is a sad one and he just said oh. Meanwhile, i learned that they just refer to them as kids’ meals now, so, i could have and will completely avoid the trauma of the happy/sad distrinction in the future lol anyway, we went to see the penguins at the zoo, which completely turned tony’s day around! especially when a penguin came all the way up to the glass and kept following us around! it was truly amazing, even though i think he just liked my backpack. anyway, that penguin was definitely a Mumble type of guy. This made me feel very sad for zoo animals though. but the truth is, as sad as i was, i have not grown enough to stop going. 🤷‍♀️. The end.
