"What an interesting question!"
Goddard exclaims with little thought, her work slowly stopping as she starts to think more and more about the question presented to her. She turns to the scientist with the slightest furrow to her brow, conflicted in how to answer. "I think I do," she replies hesitantly, "I feel like I do. I would like to. But do I truly sleep like everyone else?"
The android supposes she doesn't, so maybe what she thinks are dreams aren't. Everything seemed to be defined in ways that applied to humans or humanoids, which often left her confused or undecided on where she fell.
"It is hard to tell," she concludes, despite not wanting to end it there. "What defines a dream?"
"I was hoping you might be able to tell me."
A terse smile. Visual reassessment of the subject. Ever so slightly, the Vorta cocks their head.
"In the last few weeks I have experienced for the first time a number of... episodes during repose, sometimes interrupting it. Visions. Memories. And some things that in no way could possibly subscribe to reality."
Their brow is disturbed by some measure of thought or concern.
"Each is more unwelcome than the last. If these are indeed dreams, then perhaps you are fortunate not to experience them, if you don't. Although..."
The corner of their mouth lifts.
"I remain curious. Are your experiences of rest anything like mine?"
