Hey it’s the resident dteam team simp and I want to talk about bodyshaming in the mcyt community. I counsider us to be a relatively nice and supportive community but so many people have been talking about CC’s appearances in chat. It started with Sapnap, people continuously calling him chubby until he stopped using his facecam in streams. People have continuously commented on Niki’s body, she’s talked about it on several occasions, which lead to her having to tweet about it- particularly in relation to disordered eating. People constantly call tommy too skinny. And now ‘Chubbo’ is resurfacing, prompting tubbo to become uncomfortable and vulnerable for a moment on stream as he asks his chat not to call him that and has to defend his body??Notice how all the people being subject to bodyshaming are teenagers as well. This is genuinely disgusting,, this is not acceptable at all. They’re all perfectly healthy people- they are real genuine people who see your comments, who might be affected by your comments. What do you gain by being rude? What do you gain by insulting them or judging them? Don’t project your own insecurities onto others so shame them for it. Body shame any CC again and I’ll steal your kneecaps
