Slow, loving touches. Sweet, intoxicating kisses. Finally becoming one with the man I love. I shudder in an attempt to keep myself from reacting to the vivid images that float through my mind. Now is not the time.

I watch the form of my sleeping husband, enjoying the view of this beautiful god before me in all of his naked glory. Well, as much as the sheets covering his lower half, will allow.

I brush his wild, raven locks behind his ear so I can admire his features. He looks so innocent and peaceful, I think to myself. My eyes trail down his lean body. He is not as muscular as most Asgardian men, but his soft, smooth, broad chest would set anyone woman’s heart aflame. My fingers itch to him. Seemingly moving of their own accord, my hand brushes against his cool skin. The contrasting feeling of his flesh against the heat of my own is heavenly. I sigh in contentment. At that moment, the arm encircling my waist tightens and brings me closer to my lover’s chest.

“Didn’t your mother ever tell you it is rude to stare?” Loki questions. His voice rough and gravely from sleep. His eyes are still closed, but that famous smirk is on full display.

“Of course she did, but when have you known me to listen to anyone?” I sassed back. With a soft chuckle, he slowly opens his eyes. His emerald orbs are so full of love and tenderness, that I can’t help but become lost in their depths. He bends forward and kisses my nose, eliciting a giggle from me. Loki brings his hand up to caress my cheek and silences me when he brushes his thumb across my lips.

“Good morning, wife” he whispers before replacing his thumb with his own lips. His hand slides down my arm and stops to lightly squeeze my hip.

“Good morning, husband.” 

He suddenly shifts in bed and so he hovering over me. With both hands now resting on my hips, he leans forward again to kiss my neck...or so I thought. Instead, he tickles me. Loki lets out a full-fledged laugh, enjoying me squirm beneath him.

“Stop, please!” I shriek. He relents. I close my eyes as I attempt to calm my breathing.

“Look at me.” I do as I am told and he brings his hand to cup my cheek. He leans down and closes the gap to kiss me once again. 

“I love you so much, my darling. I plan to prove that to you for the rest of my life,” he says grabbing my hands and entwining our fingers together. “Thank you for seeing the man behind the monster. You are everything to me, Little one.” 

“I love you too, Loki,” I choke out, trying to stave off the tears that threaten to spill as his words wash over me. “I will always stay beside you no matter what comes our way. We are one now.”

We stay still, content to just to be together. As I continue to watch my husband’s face, something flashes across it; a mischievous look settles in his eyes. I bite my lip and my body begins to tingle in anticipation as I know what is about to happen.

“How about I show just how much you mean to me now?” His eyes darken as he gently rocks his hips against mine. I gasp at the contact, making his smirk reappear.

“Mmm...please do” I purr. He captures my lips in a passionate and slightly rough kiss.
