Quick life update: if you've noticed my original content quantity has plummeted in recent weeks, last month I taught at a state high school journalism workshop over four days and came back to three big projects I had to get done that week. Then over the last two weeks I've been working 12+ hour shifts designing my newspaper's 175th commemorative magazine. A huge undertaking made worse by the departments ahead of me (editorial & ad sales) stealing my time. The good part about this besides the obvious humbling and exciting adventure of being apart of one of the oldest, continuously published newspapers in America's anniversary is that overtime hours are worth 1.5x my usual hourly rate and any holiday hours I work (tomorrow is a national holiday in America) is 2x my normal hourly rate, so my next paycheck will be 😘👌🏼 My bff came to her hometown 5 hours away from me over the weekend and I haven't seen her since she got pregnant. And I won't see her again until after she's had the baby (!!!) so my whole weekend was spent with her, and tbh I would've been working if this hadn't been the case. There's a light at the end of this hell hole tunnel but it's fairly far away (a few more weeks...) but I feel terrible about not being on Tumblr. How would y'all like to read the first two chapters of my Lucissa (w/ platonic!Tomcissa) WIP published exclusively on Tumblr? She whipped around as the sound of tapping claws grew louder, coming to the conclusion with a strike of panic that the doors weren't going to open. Behind her, a set of glowing yellow eyes appeared from one of the cavernous castle corridors and she let out an unwilling squeak of fear, reaching for one of the torches on the wall.
"Stay back," she called fearfully, trying to look bigger than she was.
"Oh, stop," the wolf replied, making what appeared to be an expression of disdain. "If I were going to kill anyone, I'd have done it a long time ago."
Lily blinked, wondering if she'd gone mad.
"That's true," another voice contributed from somewhere near her knees, and Lily looked down to find a shaggy black dog looking up at her. "Moony's been trying to kill me for several years, but he never succeeds."
"I never try," the wolf—Moony—said indignantly. "Believe me, if I'd tried, I'd have succeeded."
"Are you—" Lily paused, floundering, and the wolf patiently took a seat, waiting for her to finish her sentence. "Are you talking to me?"
"Yes," Moony confirmed. "Padfoot is also talking to you. Don't worry," he added. "His bark is far worse than his bite."
"Yes," the dog agreed, "and as for Moony, neither his bark nor his bite are much to write home about."

"Past," Tom replied evasively.
"I meant—" Narcissa groaned. "Location."
"Ah," he said. "I thought you were asking where it was within the linear confines of time," he clarified. "Which is, to say, past."
She paused, gaping at him. "You're mad," she deduced with certainty.
Tom shrugged. "We're all mad here, darling," he assured her, offering her a sweeping bow.

Olivie -- the way you write is just beautiful. Breathtakingly beautiful omigosh I get shivers down my spine and goosebumps on my arms when I read your work at moments. My favorite thing is how you give me new ships to add to my ever growing list (thanks to you). First it was NottPott, then it was PansyXPercy, and now that I've read all of your TomXNarcissa, I realize one thing: you are a gift, a goddess. And I love your Tomcissa stories the most. And dramione, of course. 🌹
