It dawned on me earlier today and it makes Leon's death even more tragic. With the death of Leon Vance in the 500th episode, that makes 3 NCIS Directors in a row who have been killed! Jenny Shepherd, Tom Morrow and now Leon Vance.
Tom Morrow was the Director of NCIS when the show first aired. He left for Homeland and the position was given to Jenny Shepherd in Season 3 until she was the first to be killed in the Season 5 finale. Following her death, Leon had been the Director of NCIS ever since. (Tom Morrow was later killed towards the end of Season 13)
It's so tragic how all three NCIS Directors had been murdered!!!! ARE THEY CURSED OR WHAT?!?!?! (Then again anyone who takes the position of Director knows the risks, but still!)
