Sherry was written by bob guardio, the youngest member of the group. Having written "short shorts" a few years ago, it was inevitable that he come up with another novelty song. He brought the finished song to bob crewe, independent hit record producer, and suggested that bob record the 4 seasons singing the song. One listen was all bob crewe needed to be sold on the idea.
