I am barely 20 and yet I feel like a cranky old woman. I don't know if it's just me or what?! One thing I have always felt in this fandom is that people have a compulsive need to justify and impose their views and ideals, sometimes very subtly and sometimes by deliberation. It is a conquest if the people actually agree to disagree! I am not in the mood to point out but I feel like people should have the independence to have their own thoughts and ideas about a character or a plot. Every one of us tends to connect to one character or the other at a deeper emotional level than the other. So if character A is a highlight in my good books and character B is not then it is totally based on my personal understanding and connection to them. Just like the principle of 'ship and let ship' let people have their own opinions about a character or a plot or a particular relationship! Let's respect people having different opinions! I may or may not agree with you but that doesn't mean that I have to call you out on 'your nonsensical bullshit' just to prove that my ideals or opinions make more sense or are better than yours.
A and B together are more beautiful than A and C for me but A and C are more beautiful than A and B for you
A can be a dom and B can be a sub for me while you may think that it is more fitting that B is a dom and A is a sub
A and B can have a better friendship than A and C for me while you believe that A and C have a better friendship than A and B
I can go on forever but the point is that real life is more or less a pain in the you know what. The fandom is always on the verge of a war. Tolerence is the need of hour– everywhere! Let's make, our personal nooks of the fandom a safe zone for all the members.
