Can I just add to the Remus taking Sirius' last name: the Black family tree. Idk if people are magically added but if they are, idk if the Malfoy have the Black family tree wall in their manor but if they have, imagine Nacissa just seeing Remus having magically been added to it and realising thats how the Black family will die out, with her 'traitor' cousin and his half blood, werewolf husband. Plus Andromeda and Ted going over to the newly weds to watch the updated family tree and celebrate it with a bottle of champagne....

I personally think that copies of the family tree would only hang in Black family homes but Narcissa dropping her comically overfull glass of Cabernet Sauvignon onto Lucius's pristine white carpet (custom ordered to match the peacocks) when she notices new threads stitching themselves into the tapestry is a killer mental picture. I also like the idea that watching the tapestry accept a new member of the family is a private tradition that the Blacks all come together to do during births and weddings; it made for the most boring viewing parties ever when Sirius was a kid but now that the family is just him and the Tonks and his husband... it's pretty alright.
