On what you where saying about the whole 'incest' plot line I think that it was a clever way to side step everyone being grossed out, BUT I was not at all happy with the fact that they changed Jace from actually knowing Valentine as his father to Valentine showing him a flashback, I mean I didn't get that bit at all, was he manipulating Jace's memories to incorporate him or something, also the tender relationship between two is ruined, Jace isn't gonna want to find him now in CoA.
THAT I AGREE WITH. hahaha! I think he was manipulating Jace’s memories with that. :) Making him believe that Valentine is indeed his father. I was also kind of confused with that part. I mean when did Valentine had the prowess to manipulate someone else’s memories. yet again, this is where the book is still different from the movie argument comes in.
I think Jace would still want to find him in CoA because he’s confused and he wants answers, because at the end of the movie Jace didn’t have that much closure on the issue of finding out that Valentine is his father. But that’s just my assumption. I don’t know how the writers would fix that Jace-Valentine relationship but I think they could do something about it. But it is really sad that they changed that part…. -_-“i really don’t know what will happen from where the movie left off. But i really think that CoB was not as bad as the Percy Jackson movies. THANK THE ANGEL. Let’s all loo at the silver lining fandom. lol.
About your post on the incest plot twist being ruined thing, for me I feel like a lot of the suspense and feeling for Clary & Jace's situation will be gone for the audience when they watch the movie (or future ones). Like, whenever I read a scene when Clary & Jace so clearly wanted to be romantic with each other, it was quite sad knowing that they couldn't, but for the audience it'll just be like 'well they're obviously gonna find out the truth eventually so there's no need to worry'.
