I mean I love plots that focus on the ins and outs of relationship dynamics and I love learning about Toph's kids and I feel like this episode is better written than the one about Aang's kids

But in general I like this show way better when we actually just slow the plot down and get to spend time with the characters

I feel like this season in general has been a better at that so far, it's been better paced

Season 1 and 2 felt like the plot was constantly trying to one up itself with the next dramatic thing, especially season 2, this season hasn't been as intense with that so far

so i read through turf wars again to see if there’s anything that could prove me wrong/imply that asami didn’t know jargala previously

arguably the ONLY thing that makes asami seem unfamiliar with jargala is this one line

ANYWAYS

“your eyes whispered have we met?” reincarnatied rangshi theory

“passing notes in secrecy” self explanatory

“Ill spend forever wondering if you knew” asami for the 3 years

“the lingering question kept me up 2am who do you love” this is both of them tbh

“wishing you were at my door” no one can convince me korra didn’t wish asami would just show up at the south pole even though she said no

the ENTIRE bridge is just asami trying not to send korra that letter but “these are the words I held back as I was leaving too soon” is korra trying to figure out if her feelings were real

“please don’t be in love with someone else please don’t have somebody waiting on you” love you mako but get out the way <3

girlie lost her bending (not permanently but still) (AND SHE ONLY GOT IT BACK RIGHT AFTER CAUSE THE WRITERS DIDNT KNOW IF THEY WERE GETTING ANOTHER SEASON) , was betrayed by several authority figures who she trusted, had to fight THE embodiment of darkness (FUSED WITH HER UNCLE), PERMANENTLY had her connection to her past lives removed, had 4 of the worlds most dangerous crimsons chasing her down, was caught by them and poisoned and nearly died, developed PTSD and isolated herself from most of her friends for 3 years, fought a METAL GIANT taller than most buildings in the city that could shoot rays of concentrated death, not to mention said giant was piloted by someone who she had trusted and who had helped her in the past, was hated by humans and spirits for accidentally opening a portal by saving herself and HER ENEMY from being completely pulverised, never really had a childhood without being THE avatar, was shut away and had no friends and was under insane amounts of pressure for most of her childhood, and had the love of her life brainwashed and convinced she was her worst enemy.
