I am already over the never ending arguments, I tend to hate the episodes that focus on drama so already bracing myself for a bitchy loud season (I'm here for the looks! Not the cuntery!)

Evah's entrance look makes me wet, god fuckin damn 🥵

Disasterina is super hot in boy mode, and their accent is so tasty to my ears 🪄

I dislike Dollya so much, but that challenge look was cute. 👁

Abhora finally understood the assignment and I still love them so much. 🖤

Sigourney's look is boring af, and just reheating Evah's leftovers from s1, and I'm already not into her attitude BUT also not loving how others are ganging up on her again. 👿

Blackberri ate this shit up and I wish I saw more of Jaharia (the set is so cramped and lit so dark I literally can't see all of her look) 🕷

So many Werewolves but JayKay ate their crumbs, such a step up for that lil chaos gremlin. 🐺

I love this scene between Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson. Young Brenton Thwaites is the only actor in Titans’ young cast that approaches the level of interiority and emoting Iain Glen can generate, and so all their scenes together possess a gravitas and a sense of intimacy unmatched in the rest of the series. It makes for a very bizarre viewing experience. The series has many qualities, narrative audacities and aesthetic flourishes coming to mind, but when IG and BT interact, suddenly we’re somewhere else, somewhere more dizzying (the homoeroticism of the fantasized fight scenes, stemming or not from the co-joined minds of Dick and one his Titans’ female partner) or someplace exploring the sensitive areas of dysfunctional family ties. It’s lovely how the season has enabled Bruce Wayne and his adoptive son to reconnect and heal. Iain Glen and Brenton Thwaites really drive the notion home. In the following scene in particular, their penultimate scene together this season. Let’s hope they get to dally again in Season 3 ! (No word yet on IG coming on board though the series has been renewed.)

Here, Katherine Stone’s (from FB) screen caps for this scene. The split-diopter enables us to see both Dick and Bruce in focus while effacing the midground space between them, suggesting in a subtle way their very strong connection. Dick’s hurt is shown, not only in the tear hanging on his lashes, but in the lack of depth of field, the blur surrounding him, while his adoptive father looks on, hurting for him. I love IG’s tender look in the first still. And then seeing him try to make his son smile through his pain in the second.

Then the editing captures Bruce ongoing concerned look. Shades of Jorah perpetually looking on Daenerys unbeknownst ;-)... He knows Dick will be OK and he lets us know he’ll always be there for his son.

And then something shifts. Dick approaches his father and tells him, that though Bruce might not have known it at the time, he gave both of them something they were lacking when he took him under his wings: a family.

THAT insight surprises Bruce, and moves him. And Iain Glen hits that note out of the ball park !! With a pause, in a new composition on him (in shallow depth of field, to isolate him in telephoto, like his son before) showing us Dick’s words hitting him, reverberating in him, and moving him to tears... before he thanks him. Thanks his son, so grown-up now, and the one to offer words of wisdom and love.
