Yeah! Talking on the phone with Lorenzo just now, we were talking about how young he seemed when he joined us, because everyone who met him always remarked how he didn't look that old by any means, and how healthy he was for the most part, and we really were hoping to have him with us for longer.

Teal'c is actually my favourite SG1 character! He's a straight up Icon.

I will always be enamoured with how he makes a split second decision to defect (seemingly. We learn he's been looking for a good chance for a Long Time) and throws his lot in with earth. And it's not something that will be well received by his family, but he does it anyway. For his family. Because he knows this is wrong an that they're enslaved and wants to Actually do something about it enough that he wasn't willing to go half ass on something that would only end in his death and not Actually beating his enslavers. So he waited, and the moment he saw the chance he took it with both hands and does not look back until these monsters are done for.

Also, when he defects he finds himself with a bunch of nerds as a pseudo family, ones who will go to the bat for him. And they're nerds with no lives to speak of (affectionate). So Teal'c finds himself learning about a new planet and a new culture and at some point that is not definable in the show, he seems to know More about pop culture than said nerds he hangs around because they're all obsessed with their work and/or random special interests (yes o'Neill you as well. Every time he's at work at tells his team to take time off or get a life i'm like, dude, you are AT the devil's sacrament, you can't talk!!).

and thus, to cut a long story short, Teal'c is a huge star wars fan. Is better at pop culture than the ones from earth. He also relaxes so much as time goes on! He's actually free to be like that, he doesn't have to worry about an atrocity he'd be asked to do or what punishments he'd face for lack of loyalty or obedience, he's made a home on earth. it makes me emotional and so happy that his arc goes that way.

And, frankly, his eyeshadow game is the best in the entire sci-fi genre. Tell me your secrets Teal'c.

Unscented -- a lot of artificial scents and basically all air fresheners give me terrible headaches.

Last time I visited a farmer's market was this past Saturday! My wife and I bought delicious cheeses, focaccia, cherries and boozy seltzers.

It is electric.
