Study tip #1 - Habit
There is quite a lot of truth in the phrase “we are all creatures of habit”. If you do something every day then you are going to become better at it, more comfortable with it and eventually it will be a natural thing. Supposedly it takes a month to build a habit and two weeks to brake one. I don’t quite agree with this, it takes me well over a month to add something permanently to my daily routine and about two days to remove it but hey ho, everybody’s different. To succeed at studying though you NEED to make it a habit, no excuses, no late night cramming, no winging it. I know that it’s hard, but set yourself a target - Starting today I shall do twenty minutes of studying every day for a month. Just twenty minutes. If it doesn’t work for you at the end of the month then you may have to stick at it a bit longer but it should become a habit eventually. Twenty minutes may seem like a lot but twenty minutes a day for a few months compared with two nights of cramming WILL be the difference between an A and a C, a 1-1 and a 2-1, a pass and a distinction. So get to it!
