Tiny rituals that are keeping me alive in burnout:
- eating the same three meals
- twirling my fidget ring as I stare into space
- wrapping myself in a fuzzy blanket
- drinking peace tea or cbd drinks
- planning artwork for my walls (current top on the priority list, a picture of a goose head sticking out of a hole with the vaguely threatening caption "soon")
- sitting outside the house in my car for 30 whilst I figure out how to transition in
- baths. Long, hot, cleansing baths.
Tiny Ritual I’ve Developed
Every night now, I’ve made my tea as usual, but I’ve been adding a bit to it, incorporating magick into it.
Where I used to put only a little sugar, I now put two big teaspoons of sugar and a bit of cinnamon, for sweetness. After I put in my milk, I stir it three times clockwise. With each stir, I say one thing that I want to feel or want to happen. For example, today: “I am motivated, I have a strong memory, I am happy.”
Just thought I would share it with all of you in case you want to do something like it for yourself.
