New residents.
A mouse mother made her nest under some branches that had been prepared for burning. When Maciek realized there were two tiny babies under the wood, he put the branches back in place.
Their mum wasn’t there, and she didn’t return to her babies. We waited for several hours. The little mice started getting cold, so we had to step in.
And here they are: Pirat and Ciapka. Their names may be temporary, as we don’t know their sex yet.
At 2 a.m., we drove to the emergency vet clinic to get kitten milk, to give these tiny creatures any chance of survival.
We don’t know how this story will continue. Hand-rearing babies this small is very difficult. Waking up every few hours through the night is difficult too.
Please keep your fingers crossed for them.
Watching the first of 3 episodes in a documentary about the neonatal unit at University Hospital Wishaw (my local hospital) and I’m astounded at the fact that they transported a severely ill baby into Glasgow and back for a procedure rather than transport the required medical team. Surely that would be more safer.

Could everyone possible do me a huge favour and go donate to this https://www.justgiving.com/Lucy-Thear/ http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/gateshead-parents-praise-tiny-lives-8477931 All money donated will be going to a completely worthy cause. The just giving page gives you a brief insight into the heartbreak and pain Lucy and Mark have had to go through and are still going through with their beautiful little girl. They received constant support from the tiny lives charity and still are getting support, they just really want to give something back by raising money to donate to them to keep it up and running so that they can help more families receive the support they deserve and need. Lucy is planning on doing a sponsored bungee jump if they raise £200 and Mark is hoping to do the 3 peak challenge, when he climbs the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. Pleasepleaseplease go help out their cause and donate, I will keep everyone who donates up to date with their progress! Thank you for reading💜💜💜
Milburn School’s Amazing Fundraising!!
In Excelsior’s Milburn School, pupils and staff have been very busy over the last year holding a series of fund raising events, raising money for a number of worthwhile charities and beneficial trips for our pupils.
They have raised money for such Charities as Macmillan Nurses, Children in Need, Sport Relief, Tiny Lives and Children with Cancer. School trips that have benefited have been the Ski trip to France and the 6th Form trip to Mexico of which two ex Milburn students took part.
So here it is, the amount raised so far this year is a wonderful £2,375 it’s an amazing testimony to our pupils who have worked hard to achieve this.
Thank you so much to all the staff and pupils who have contributed their time, patience and support and here’s to another great and charitable year for 2015!!
