I HAVE FINALLY WRITTEN KARL AS A VILLAIN >:)
TW for implied character death, actual character death, mentions of violence, weapons, fear, this is a dark fic :)c
Demigod
Karl smiled at Sam as the other let him on the platform. The lava parted as the machine began to move.
He had heard that the warden had locked away the remaining fiances. Sure, Dream had been driven mad, but the other two had been helping the demigod come back to his senses.
But then when Sapnap and George went in to visit Dream, the warden had prepared a trap for the other two, leaving them inside as the hours ticked by.
Karl couldnāt handle the separation any longer.
The machine stopped as the lava parted one last time, allowing Karl a view into the depressing cell.
āKarl, baby!ā Sapnap cried out, running towards the other and wrapping him in a hug. Karl smiled and returned the action. āOh my gā, I promise we wouldāve been out of here sooner, but the warden has us stuck.ā The demigod of fire explained.
āIād never hold it against you.ā Karl smiled as Sam stepped into the cell next. āThese three are highly dangerous. Iām doing this to protect the server.ā The creepertaur informed, standing guard. Karl wanted to throw Sam right back into the lava he came from, but instead he held up his smile.
āHave you two been helping Dream?ā He asked softly, cupping Sapnapās face with his hands and pressing their foreheads together. āOf course, dearest, George and Dream are taking a slight nap. The machines triggered him.ā
Karl smiled softly. āGood. Iāll get you three out as soon as I can-ā āHang on, I have a call from Ponk.ā Sam interrupted. Karl shot a slight glare at him before turning to face the man with a confused look.
āYeah?ā Karl watched the man stare at the comm. āSam, the prison is crumbling,ā Ponk shouted through the speakerphone of the comm for the people nearby to hear, āYou need to get out!ā
āWhat?!ā The Warden shouted in shock, looking around. āYou canāt be serious, there are things Iāve done to protect this place-ā Sam began before a massive boom was heard, running through the place and causing a quake to be sent throughout the place.
Karlās mouth curled slightly into a grin.
āOh sā.ā Sam muttered before the area around them began to collapse. Karl ran to Sapnap, wrapping him up in a hug as he pushed him into George and Dream, before everything went black.

āThe prison was destroyed. Somehow it crumbled to pieces.ā Sam growled as he sat at the seat assigned to him. āDo you know how?ā Puffy asked.
āPonk said it started from the middle of the place. I donāt understand how, because I set up wards against demigod magic.ā The creepertaur glared holes in the table. āYes, well, it could be possible that this wasnāt the work of a demigod.ā Antfrost added as he adjusted himself in his seat. The slight flick of the manās cat ears tipped the warden off that he was uncomfortable.
āWhat do you mean?ā āThe one thing you didnāt protect the prison from was the gods. You canāt protect the prison from them. So I propose that one of them has the favor of a god.ā Ant continued.
āI bet they all do. None of them can be hurt, which isnāt normal for demigods.ā Puffy added. āSo, if we figure out which god it was, we can convince them to not favor the three anymore.ā Sam added.
āHow do we do that, then? How do we even hunt down a god?ā āEach god has a specific thing that forces them to reveal themselves. XD was attached to Dream, we severed the connection.ā Skeppy spoke boldly.
āYes, but there are three gods. XD who was over creation, the Goddess of Death, and the God of Time. So one of the other two needs to be stopped, so we can just sever their connection.ā Ant added.
āItās just a connection.ā Puffy added, eyes wide as she probably was trying to stomach the information. āHow do we find this connection?ā Sam asked.
āAll Iāll tell you is that if you want to go, you can find them in Kinoko.ā Eret added. Oh, right, the demigod of sight would know. āPerfect. Whoās coming with me?ā Sam asked the members of the table.
āIām in.ā Puffy spoke out, followed by Ant raising his hand, offering his abilities. āPerfect, all we need is a small group anyways. Connor, youāre coming with us!ā Sam finished, getting up on his four paws and leading the group out. āWhen hunting for a god, you need someone who can sense the power.ā He commented as his group followed behind.

āKarl, what are you doing?ā Sapnap asked. Karl simply smiled as he sat on the couch. āWaiting for company.ā The man smiled, patting the space on the couch next to him.
āYou are a strange man.ā The demigod chuckled softly as he took the spot and pulled the first closer. The two snuggled close. āGeorge is upstairs helping Dream get used to this, so I was kicked out.ā The other pouted as he buried his head in Karlās shoulder.
āAw, at least I get some cuddle time-ā Karl spoke before a knock from the door interrupted him. Sapnap let Karl go with a pout. He smiled and ruffled the demigodās hair before moving towards the door. He unlocked it and opened it slightly, to get a look at who was outside.
āOh, hello Sam, Puffy, Ant, and Connor, how can I help you?ā Karl spoke cheerfully. āKarlā¦? I thought-how many more canon lives do you have?ā Sam asked suddenly.
āOne.ā The man at the door answered automatically. āWeāre here to investigate something, weāre looking for someone.ā Sam spoke up.
āWho?ā Karl asked, raising his guard. āThe god of time. We arenāt here for your boyfriends. Yet.ā The creepertaur commented sternly. Karl glared at the group before nodding.
āFine. You can stay in Kinoko as long as you promise to not hurt them. Let me show you where you can stay until you find this supposed āGod of Timeā.ā Karl smiled again, waving to Sapnap before he stepped out the door and began to lead the group to an empty home.

Connor was enjoying his stay, although he had the feeling that nothing was right. He could sense the magic from everyone but Karl, which was strange to him. Even normal humans had at least a bit of magic, but not Karl.
Strange.
He laid down on one of the beds, but as he flopped down, the scene changed. Connor stood up to find himself in a bright area, standing on a massive clock. The area was flooded in bright light with a colosseum-essque look to the edges. The clock was bordered by clouds and gears that seemed absolutely massive to him.
The Time Godās realm.
As Connor turned around, looking everywhere, his gaze shifted at the sight of a massive being, probably triple his height.
The Time God himself.
Sā.
The way they were standing demanded attention. The being stood, their four hands clasped together. A halo resembling a clock remained behind their head while a glowing crown of green circled their face. The mask they wore had a singular eye in the center, which stared down at Connor.
The god wore a cropped hoodie of purple-which bore the symbol of them, with the hood pulled up over the rest of their head. They wore a slitted skirt that reached down to the floor, paired with heels.
The being glared down at Connor, who stared up at him with a gaping mouth. āįį§įįį§į.ā The being spoke sternly. His fear kept him silent. āįį§įįį§į.ā The god spoke again, a tinge of anger in their tone.
āYes-yes?ā He asked quietly. āįįįįį į¦į„įį§į¦į§.ā They commanded, glaring harshly at him.
āW-what, why?ā āį„ į¦įį§į įįįį į©į§į¬ įįį į“į§į„įį¶ įįįįį.ā
āI-please, Iām just trying to save the world-ā āį„ᦠį©į§į¬ įį§įįį„įį¬į, į©į§į¬ įį„įį įį¬įį į„į.ā
āPlease reconsider-ā āį©į§į¬ į“įįį įį®įįᦠįį§ į·į įįįį įįį©? įįįįį įį§į į§į į„ įį„įį įį·į„įį į©į§į¬ į§į¦į¦ įįį į¦įįį į§į¦ įįį į®įįįįį.ā The god finished with a dangerous glare.
āY-yes, almighty one, Iāll leave immediately-ā He rushed before he shot up out of the bed. He looked around in a panic before running out the front door as fast as he could.
He would not test the godās patience today.

Sam looked around. āWhereās Connor?ā He asked the group as they recuperated in the town center. āI donāt know.ā Puffy commented.
āI heard him running off.ā Ant spoke as he returned to the group, shifting from a cat back into his human form. āGreat. There goes our only way to test power levels.ā Sam muttered.
āSomethingās not right, canāt you guys feel it?ā Puffy muttered. āItās almost like this place is frozen in time. Even if you step on a flower it pops right back up. Nothing here is dying.ā She finished, staring quizzically at one of the flowers nearby.
āCould this place be blessed by the god as well?ā Sam asked. āBut which one?ā Puffy asked. āIt could be either.ā She continued, looking around. Antfrostās gaze moved towards a mushroom.
āThereās something there.ā He spoke, pointing towards the trapdoor. Sam stepped forward, opening the door to reveal a ladder leading down into the darkness below.
āI canāt fit in there, you two go, Iāll stand watch.ā Sam commanded, pulling out his trident. Ant nodded, and let Puffy go down first.
Once the ram hybrid touched the ground, she pulled out a torch, holding it up as the cat hybrid joined her in the darkness. Ant pulled out another torch, and the two split up, looking around the room to find anything.
Puffy wasnāt finding anything, Ant could only assume. Meanwhile he had stumbled upon multiple books. Each one bore a symbol that looked too familiar to him. He flipped through the pages, using the light of the torch to look through it.
As he skimmed through the final book, it finally clicked. He dropped the book as his eyes widened, backing away from the desk he had been searching.
āKarlās symbol.ā He muttered. āWhat?ā Puffy asked, approaching him.
āKarlās symbol, itās a swirl, isnāt it?ā The cat hybrid asked. āYeah?ā The ram answered. āWhy?ā
āIt looked so familiar, and I figured out why. The spiral is a symbol of the God of Time. He must be the connection. We need to get out of here.ā Ant hurried, shoving Puffy towards the ladder. āSo, wait, Karlās the connection? What does it have to do with this place?ā She asked.
āIām assuming this is the place where Karl struck the deal, that means that he has more power here.ā Ant spoke. āCome on, we need to tell Sam.ā Puffy nodded and began to climb up quickly.
āSam! Sam, we figured it out!ā Puffy shouted as she climbed out of the hole. āPerfect. What do we need to do?ā Sam responded.
āKarlās the connection. Which isnāt good, because then the other three will want to get involved.ā Ant spoke.
āWe should just go for it.ā The creepertaur glared at the main building. āOnce the connection is dead we can put them in the prison.ā āNo, Sam, think about this-ā Puffy tried to reason before Sam ignored them and began running towards the building.
The creepertaur didnāt even knock as he reached the door, he simply broke through it and sped towards Karl, who had been peacefully walking through the room moments earlier. Sam threw his trident, which caught on Karlās arm and threw the man into the wall.
The creepertaur held out his sword as he approached.
āKarl!ā He heard George shout. Karl glared at Sam as the other approached. āRelease your connection, or I will force you to myself.ā The creeper growled, smoke escaping his nose.
āWhat connection?ā Karl spat with a slight smile. āYou know what connection. The one you made with the Time God.ā The warden spat back.
Sam could feel eyes watching him from behind as he assumed the other three had joined in.
āIāll say it again, what deal? I donāt make deals.ā Karl returned with a glare. āDonāt make me do this the hard way. Release the deal and stay away from these monsters, or I kill you myself. Your choice.ā Sam returned.
āThe only deal I made is the marriage vows with my husbands. I donāt make deals.ā Karl smirked. Sam glared before his eyes caught something. He quickly pulled his hand off of his trident as the gold disintegrated, starting at the point of contact with the trapped man.
āI donāt make deals, because I donāt need them.ā Karl spoke again as he found his footing on the ground, facing his attacker. Sam began to back off as a glowing crown began to form around Karlās head.
Karl began to step forward, mirroring Samās attempt to leave. āSo let me offer you a chance. Leave, or I will make sure no one even knew you existed.ā The man-no, the God-threatened, a cruel smile covering his face.
Sam backed away, only to be stopped. He had run into a wall. āOh well, I guess you wonāt be leaving.ā Karl smiled cruelly as the two stood inches apart.
- - -
Karl smiled happily as he waved to Ponk. āHey! How are you doing?ā Karl asked as he approached the other. āIām doing great, Karl, thank you for letting me stay here.ā They spoke with a smile. āItās awesome to be able to practice my medicine in peace.ā Karl smiled happily.
āIām glad-ā āKarl!ā He turned around at the mention of his name only to be met with an all-encompassing hug from Dream. āI love you so much.ā The other smiled.
āI love you too, Dreamie. Glad youāre enjoying your stay, Ponk!ā Karl finished with a wave. āIām glad youāre in a good mood, dear, come on, letās go have lunch.ā He smiled softly.
Karl would never tell anyone what he had done, since they wouldnāt even remember.
He could live in peace, with his three husbands.
Perfect harmony, he smiled to himself as he promised to Dream that heād be back down. He traveled up the stairs, pulling out Samās trident. Approaching his room, he opened the door and stepped into the dark room, only to immediately shut the door.
He turned on the lights, illuminating the area. On his wall were a few trophies he had gained. He rested Samās trident on three hooks, next to Wilburās guitar, before stepping back to view the wall. Wilburās guitar, Samās trident, Aimseyās hat, Alyssaās mask, Lazarās sword, Vikkās wither star, HBombās axe and Quackityās poker chip.
Heād do anything to keep his dearests safe.
Anything.
