okay i've been revisiting one of the most criminally underrated y2k artists, tina sugandh, and two of her songs are giving me avpol dynamic ideas:
"break me" -- both pov, lots of references to heat, fire, melting. abdul's whole thing at first is "this stupid asshole drives me crazy but i can't decide in what way" lol
"bollywood girl" -- abdul pov, the main line that stands out to me is "i will not argue at all, all i will say is... hell no," whole song implies a feeling of being misunderstood and labelled either as demure or the polar opposite when she's actually somewhere in between and the guy is limiting the experience by making assumptions about her.
given the way polnareff talks to women in the series (mansplainy, annoying, assumes he knows more than them about everything), i think their romantic relationship would be a challenge for both of them, but abdul's just about the only person in polnareff's life who has the obstinance to confront him as many times as it takes.

The trouble with Tina as a character is that she’s kind of brittle, kind of uptight but you have got to love her as well. And that’s not easy. I know because I know the character so well.
