Holy grail timelapse of the milky way arrising in the horizon! ;) I shot this with my Timelapse+ VIEW. I was ever so slightly off on my angle at which the Milky way would appear but overall I'm quite happy with it. For this being the first time I've ever been at this location I think it turned out amazing! This was shot with my canon 6D Mark II paired with a Rokinon 24mm f/1.4. I had to use a lens heater to keep the dew off from my lens because of the time of year. I'm using a Lume Cube behind me to light the scene. I was pretty happy with how well the light balanced out considering it was setup before the light was gone ;) Now that I have this stuff setup and timing correct I can add motion to it next time. ;) Let me know what you like, don't like, things I could possibly change? I always love when I'm out under the night sky and surprise the living hell out of people just because they aren't expecting someone to be there. Very shortly after started shooting a couple parked on the opposite side of the lake. I could see them walking all the way around because they had a light out. They appeared to be out walking a dog. I was sitting very still and quiet when the dog came walking up about 10 feet from me just STARING at me trying to figure out what exactly I was. So I just simply said "I guess your dog wasn't expecting to find someone out here either." The people walking very abruptly stopped and looked in my direction with my their flashlight. Then started walking again. I don't even think they said a word to me and just walked past me. I was semi entertained and it gave me a chuckle. I would have gladly sat under the stars and chatted with them but they were a bit more involved with their story about a coworked it didn't sound like they were overly fond of. Soooo I FINALLY went out again and it was pretty amazing. I've been slacking on my night photography for countless reason's and made an effort to get out again. 12 degrees f sure helped bring the stars out. This is 233 shots stacked. I can't be able to shoot on Feb 29th for a few more years so make the best of it when it's here I guess right? ;) Also, any guesses as to what the bright scattered stuff is coming in from the top left corner? They are very bright and spread out around a whole bunch of pictures randomly. It feels so good to be creating these again. So much fun and time involved with this. I decided to leave the added streaks in the sky like the planes, iridium flares and UFO's because the building is flawed in it's current state why not have the sky the same? To shoot this I have a Lume Cube camera left lighting the foreground and structure. Timelapse+ VIEW running a holy grail timelapse with a lens heater of course so it didn't fog up.
