#time anomaly

This is not my usual post and this is not embellished or meant for aesthetic purpose- I am seriously freaked out.

I've lived these days before. Certain events are repeating even if it's impossible for them to of happened before.

A little back-track, one of my good friends is staying at my place for a month or so. He has never stayed at my home before. Ever. But a few nights ago we were up a little later than usual and he was talking about this and that. I was sketching, listening to what he was saying and occasionally looking up at him to show I was paying attention. I looked up at one point and that's when it hit me.

We have done this before.

It was the w o r s t deja vu I've experienced in my life and can only recall it happening once before that moment, when I was 13. But I just gawked at him on the bed talking about his day as I remembered everything he was about to say, the way he sat, his facial expressions, everything. I didn't know how many times before we'd sat in that room and had that exact conversation. My reaction terrified him and when he asked what was wrong I told him but he didn't notice anything weird. He told me it was strange and I should get some sleep. I walked away and took a breather, because this is surely just a wacky coincidence or some mental thing. There's no way, right?

The same thing happened today, but with a different situation. I was on my bed, having woke up about 10 minutes before. The friend had come up the stairs to my room and stood off the right side of the foot of my bed and was again telling me about how his first day at his job went. His 9 month old dog jumped up on my bed and laid with her stomach up for pets and I obliged.. but the feeling hit again. That intense deja vu and then the memory of That. Exact. Moment.

I was about to tell him I felt it again but decided against it. Maybe this is just some mental thing or I dreamed it up and it was just close enough to that dream that it was like a memory? There is NO way this is from a previous visit because he has been in Florida since we were little kids, and his dog is 9 months, so that's not a factor either.

On July 16, 1945, a group of scientists in an underground complex near Socorro, Franklin conducted the first full-scale contact experiment with the astronomical entity RE-1 Sothos, known to antiquity as Y-g S-th-th.

Records are scarce and contradictory, but there is evidence to suggest that internal tampering led to a positive feedback loop in the probability alignment field.

Over the following seven hours, the complex, two American states, and the entire Southwestern forest region were completely destroyed and causally removed from the historical record.

In the new timeline, the borders were drawn - many decades ago - such that most of former Franklin is now part of New Mexico.

The extraspatial contact experiments are no longer part of our history. Instead the Manhattan Project's work was limited to nuclear explosives and weapons. While the Franklin-past has a complex causal relationship with our current reality, the New Mexico-past should now be regarded as what actually happened in our timeline. The details of this situation are still the subject of intense study by those chronologists who have been granted sufficient clearance.

Several of the inner circle of scientific staff remained in the new timeline with their original memories more or less intact. This is likely a result of experimental observer-effect rituals performed in private at the University of Göttinger.

Richard Feynman, who retains experience of the second (current) timeline, provided testimony to the State Department which was invaluable in distinguishing erased from new history.

I want Hogwarts itself to break.

Some ancient, unexplained piece of castle magic goes catastrophically wrong, causing Hogwarts from the Marauders' era and Hogwarts from Harry's era to merge into one castle.

Not time travel.

Not alternate universes.

One Hogwarts.

Two generations.

Every House now has two sets of students.

Two Gryffindor years.

Two Slytherin years.

Two Ravenclaws.

Two Hufflepuffs.

Separate dormitories somehow appear to make room for everyone, but the common rooms, classrooms, Great Hall, library, Quidditch pitch, and corridors are shared.

Everyone still has classes.Everyone still earns House Points.

Everyone still has exams.

They're just doing it alongside students from twenty years in the past.

And I don't want the story to focus on changing the future.

I want it to focus on the interactions.

James tells Harry the story of how he, Sirius, Remus, and Peter all became friends on the Hogwarts Express.

Curious, he asks Harry how he, Ron, and Hermione met.

Harry shrugs.

"Well... first there was a troll.

"He casually tells them how Hermione ended up in the girls' bathroom, how he and Ron went after her, and how fighting a mountain troll is what truly made them friends.

Later, the conversation turns to Hagrid and his unfortunate habit of adopting ridiculously dangerous creatures.

Harry starts telling the story of Norbert.

How Hagrid somehow ended up with a dragon egg.

How they secretly raised a baby dragon inside a wooden hut.

How they smuggled Norbert out of Hogwarts in the middle of the night.

How they were caught after running into Fluffy.

James is grinning by the end of it.

"That is brilliant."

Harry nods.

"Yeah. First year was pretty intense."

James laughs.

"...Wait."

"That was only your first year?"

James: "Once we stole Filch's entire stash of Firewhisky."

Sirius: "He looked for it for weeks."

The Marauders burst into laughter.

Harry blinks.

"Oh."

"We stole a dragon from Gringotts."

Silence.

"..."

"...What?"

Ron shrugs.

"It wasn't planned."

Hermione and Lily becoming friends.

McGonagall having to teach two generations at once.

Teenage Snape meeting Professor Snape.

The Marauders trying to prove they're the kings of Hogwarts chaos......

and gradually realizing Harry's generation somehow lived through things that sound completely made up.
