An AU Idea For Our Muses: I've been on a Red Robin kick so I say Jason being sent into the mainverse not knowing it's his home universe as the Red Robin. He winds up running into Tim and bam, who's the pretender now haha

To be honest, Jason was a little nervous. He liked Timothy, too much actually. It wasn’t love, he didn’t do ‘love’, but a liking that made him want to kiss the other. But he wanted the other to kiss him first, he liked it to make people kiss him for or that they just kissed him first, but Timothy hadn’t done it yet and he was becoming impatient.

He knew that Tim would die for him and the prospect alone scared him. He had already lost Jason and he didn’t need to lose another brother. He couldn’t lose another brother. Dick wasn’t worth dying for and he certainly wasn’t worth Tim’s life.

Dick’s gaze moved over to Tim, brows knitted together. They were in the manor, sitting together in the family room, watching a movie. It had been a while since they had hung out; they had been out on patrol earlier that day and now—- now they were just here relaxing. Dick and Tim, not Nightwing and Robin.

              "Please, don’t,” he said, pressing his lips into a frown. Tim blinked and looked at him and Dick reached out to find his hand. This earned a raised brow from the younger male but Dick ignored it for now. “I need you safe and sound, okay? I need you to come home and live your life.” He took a deep breath, giving Tim’s hand a squeeze. “Just—- just promise me you won’t—- you won’t die.”

Losing Jason had been incredibly hard and Dick was occasionally overwhelmed by the absence of him. If he lost Tim as well, he wasn’t sure he could live with that. Not only would he have failed one brother, but he would have failed two. Shaking his head, he gave Tim’s hand one final squeeze and then looked back to the movie.
