#tiling pattern

my first attempt at making a seamless repeating pattern! You can see how some of the elements go off the sides▫️◽◻️ I could've probably made it more dynamic but it was hard enough to do this as is 😅 looking forward to more experiments!!

(Clip Studio Paint: Gouache Brush, Pencil brush for highlights, and Airbrush tool for the pepper. 6 colors, 45 minutes.) Coming in right under the wire for this one! I learned a new skill about how to tile a piece. It should tile perfectly, but if anyone finds seams, let me know. Sheet pan eggs are a great way to cook a lot of eggs and a great way to paint a piece when you're low on time. @lady-quen's Breadbug army may have a rough time getting this one back to the burrow, but they're welcome to snack on as much as they can! And as always, big thanks to @quezify for organizing and inspiring this event. Eggs are just fun as hell to draw.

I created a design challenge called #100tiles to brute force my way through my hesitation about learning pattern design. The ham was a sketch for a larger design; I've included a timelapse + layered psd file of it on my blog.

I forgot to reupload this when I was happy with it! There’s a medium density version here too. I’ll leave the old ones up in case anyone likes the simpler versions better :)
