When Tiger returned to the clan with his “brothers” Rusty and Tiny he was mentored by Mousefur, who didn’t remember him and her prejudice made him work hard to prove himself. It was Oneeye who confirmed Bluestar’s and the elders suspicions, Tigerpaw smelling similar to Leopardfoot’s murdered son. Through a private council it was determined that Bluestar would tell him, and he could do with that information whatever he wanted.
Tigerpaw was shocked. He had worked hard to find a place in the clan, same as Firepaw had and Icepaw (Tiny). He had belonged there, unlike his brothers was a startling realization.
Pinestar heard on this announcement through the grapevine, Smoke’s son, Darksmoke, was brought to see where his mother once lived. This ended up leading to Pinestar’s rebellion, leading to the merging of street cats into Shadowclan with the ideological value that he could promise the street cats territory if they helped purge his son and all cats he had been having ‘visions’ of leading to the end of the clans , recruiting them Pinestar took over Shadowclan after Brokenstar died, instead of Blackfoot, since technically Pinestar had mentored and apprentice.
These skirmishes left Shadowclan without a leader, and Tigerlight took over Shadowclan after the battle with Hopeflame(Yellowfang’s daughter) and Wishmint(same). After Brokenstar died and Pinestar drove out his sisters, they went to the streets to survive, and raised a tribe to purge him from their clans.When Wishmint killed him, neither her nor her sister had any desire to lead and then Tigerlight took over.
