If you have literary PTSD from years, nay decades, of reading male authors' Very Poorly written fiction about women, our bodies, our sexuality, our interior lives, etc, do yourself a favour. Read this. Out loud. Preferably to someone who will howl along with you, but that's not necessary.
I joke not: it begins curing the many deep wounds inflicted on women by The Male Gaze. It won't reverse years of trauma; only having 60% female + nb elected officials + judges will do that. This is an excellent baby step.
