Deidara was well aware he had a roommate. As far as he could tell, almost everyone had one, though whether they interacted or not seemed to be hit or miss. He hadn't seen his, only evidence of his passing; food in the fridge and cupboards, the house being cleaned when Deidara certainly hadn't done anything, things shifted and moved around here and there. Either they were both out often or Deidara was just gone so much that he never caught sight of the other person he was technically sharing space with.
Not that it bothered him all that much. He'd have made more of an effort to hang around if it had.
But he was getting increasingly antsy without his bombs and the whole incident with Badou at the mall proved that he needed something to stand in for them.
So here he was, settled on the second floor balcony, surrounded by little clay shells he was about to fill with explosives. Simple things with wicks, something any ninja worth their salt would be able to deal with without any effort, but for now it would be something more then he had. A distraction, maybe enough to hurt someone a little less able to react.
But of course, he had to see exactly how explosive this stuff was. So he had a teeny tiny test shell, filled and capped and lit safely away from the rest of the explosives and then tossed into the fireplace for good measure.
CRACK.
He ducks bits of flying clay as the little thing pops loudly and shatters to pieces.
"Ha! Hell yeah, un. These will work well enough, yeah." Honestly, he ought to get back into making fireworks. That had been fun as hell when he was a genin.
