So hear me out please. What if Lao and Liu, when they were little, watched some TV (afterwards they got scolded by the other monks for it) and they saw this tradition of dressing up a tree in colorful bright lights for this holiday called Christmas. So they got the lights from somewhere and once when Raiden was meditating they put them on him (I drew it too but it’s really shitty xd). This quickly became their little tradition and every year Raiden let them dress him in the lights (it’s really cool that the lights don’t need to be plugged in because Raiden himself is like a gigantic walking power outlet XD). They didn’t really celebrate Christmas as it is but this was just the thing they did for many years. But as we all know Lao and Liu died and Raiden turned dark. So...
