There should’ve been a group in Vecna’s mind (personally I would want the party since you could expand on Camaztoz and creative energy like was implied in Will’s ending page where we learned he’s an illusionist and create a really cool final battle using actual dnd shit if you want to lean into action), a group on the ground fighting the demos, and a group freeing the children and weakening mf and Vecna.

This way it allows for everyone to feel useful, it creates plenty of dynamic cutting opportunities like in season 4’s final battle, and it would also feel like the characters are learning from their mistakes from season 4 while also using techniques that they used in previous final battles (explosives in season 3 and 4, fire, and El/Will’s powers).

you could also kinda split it into two sections, demos, Vecna, and rescue mission on end and actual mind flayer on the other? Where the group that split up have to work together to stop the mind flayer from getting to our world, this way you can also have a horror final battle too? Hell you could even tie the core message of love triumphing over fear into it with the characters all coming together and helping El and Will and whoever the fuck take down Mindy bc they’re not afraid of her.
