FASHION TIPZ!!!

For clothes and accessories , I go to Goodwill, Salvation Army, Mercari, Ross, swap meets, SOMETIMES hot topic, NEWBREEDGIRL, and Spencer’s

I always check the children’s shirts, women’s clothing, and men’s shirts (Tip: check through racks throughly while listening to music to pass the time LOLZ)!!

I also DIY a lot of my clothing aswell which I’ll be posting soon. I use acrylic paint mixed with fabric softener to paint shirts and tailor them depending on if I want it loose or not :D I even add studs that I got from Amazon to bling out some pieces!

I get them off of multiple sites! Like Depop, Mecari, Ebay, and I browse Poshmark but I haven’t bought anything off it yet. I typically make a list of the items I want/am looking for then wait and check those sites everyday until I find a deal. But, if the shirt is insanely rare I’ll normally buy it as soon as I find it :)

this is the cool thing about thrift stores- it acts as almost an archive of brands from a variety of stores, sizes, collections, etc. instead of going to 1 store with the same styles from this one time period, it's a variety.

shop in BOTH sections, not just the mens or womens

carefully look through the books, they often aren’t organized, but if you look thoroughly enough you can find some great ones

learn some easy alterations, ie. sewing a button, mending a hem, adjusting waists, etc. just learn a backstitch by hand and you can basically do anything

look for specific fabrics like cordoroy or tweed

this should be obvious, but you should make sure you thoroughly clean everything you get. it’s worth it to get something dry cleaned if you really like it

find out when the store gets new shipments in so you can gst first pick
