What a cool fucking band! I wish I had heard of them earlier because this kinda lofi noisey emo rock is absolutely my jam, and it kinda reminds me of a (less screamy) alternate version of my band with my bf, which ofc makes me even more biased towards it! This album is a great introduction to the band and probably to the DIY side of Emo rock in general, I feel like I could get my mom to enjoy this album with some repeated listenings, there's something to this that just makes it feel infectiously fun, in a weird way given the emotional catharsis of some of the tracks.

The album makes me want to say that I wish it was longer, but probably I really don't, the pacing and placement are perfect, the music never feels bloated or unnecessary in any way. Some of it obviously isn't fully realized, but fuck, what is fully realized is amazing. I personally don't enjoy some of the vocal deliveries, but I am very very very well aware that that is subjective personal taste. I mean, I'm in a screamo band, doing atypical vocal deliveries is all I do. I still appreciate those choices, even though they didn't all click with me entirely, and I have definitely changed my mind about things like that with repeated listenings of other albums!

enjoyability: 8.5/10 (I really really enjoyed it, some choices made didn't click with me ENTIRELY, but it was still an amazing experience, and a good fucking hang)

accessibilty: 9.5/10 (I've got my new answer for when someone asks me what band they should listen to to get into diy emo, something that definitely happens in real life)

listenability: 9/10 (the level of talent of the people involved in this project low-key makes me mad)

songwriting: 8.5/10 (really cool!!! reminds me a bit of the microphones almost, with the soft-loud dynamics and fuzzy, warm distortion combined with sharp, clean vocals. its only gonna get even better too :3)

sound: lofi/10 (the production is rly neat, that last track dipping into a much more low fidelity sound did really throw me off, but its still cool! kinda reminds me of earlier yaamc. obviously ur not gonna judge an intentionally lofi project for lo-fidelity, especially if its as cool as this!

cohesion: 10/10 (this album doesn't waste a second! rly tight and cool!)
