spread out in front of rosie was her calendar for the next month, blank and was ready for rosie to completely unload her artist abilities all over the pages. over the years, no matter how hard rosie tried she just wasnât the most of organized people and time always seemed to escape her mind. if she was supposed to be somewhere at a certain time you could probably assume she would be at least twenty minutes late. it wasnât that she didnât care, in fact one of rosieâs best traits was how deeply she did care. it was just, as her father used to always say the girl has her mind in the clouds. donât even get started when sheâs working on a project, she can paint for hours before realizing the sun has long gone down and usually when she looks up noah is home from work. long ago noah realized this little habit of rosieâs and one day he came home with a giant paper calendar for rosie to paint and doodle to her heartâs desire and still hopefully manage to keep track of her schedule. grabbing her paint, her box of hundred colored pencils, and her sketching pencils she looked at the blank page in front of her. sighing she wasnât sure where to start and grabbed her list of things that she had for the month, slowly filling in lunches, date nights, and movie nights with florencia she began filling it in. looking back at the month prior she realized she had never filled in her cycle for that month. confused she looked back at the month before last and saw she had filled in the date, the sixth. well the sixth had come and gone and she thought for a moment had she gotten one last month, this month? taking a moment she counted and realized she was over a month late, no that canât be right, she thought to herself. counting again she found herself with the same conclusion. biting down on her pencil she tapped it lightly a little nervously. getting up she grabbed her coat, convincing herself this was nothing to worry about, there wasnât a chance she could be pregnant. right? grabbing goldieâs leash she got the dog she shared with noah ready for walk. âcome on boy.â she said trying her best to contain her nerves and both allowing her thoughts to try and convince her she wasnât expecting. it was a short walk to the corner store and she ran in grabbing the closest pregnancy test. itâs just to know iâm not. she told herself, but what if she was? was she even ready to be a mom? was noah even ready to be that fully committed to her. walking home in a speed, she let charlie run to his bed where he looked up at her concerned. âoh stop iâm fine.â she assured the male pup. running to the bathroom she followed the instructions and placed the test on the sink. three minutes, donât they have anything faster she thought to herself. trying to keep herself distracted she began moving things in the bathroom, and after what felt like hours her phoneâs timer went off. turning the timer off, her hands shaking, she turned and before she could look at the test she heard the door to the apartment opening. grabbing the test she shoved it in the drawer before looking and went out to greet noah. âhunny, hi.â she said her voice and little shaky as she leaned up on her tiptoes and kissed him softly. âhow was your day?â
