back in 2011 i didn’t believe in portmanteaus, and then when x-kit came up with tag bundles this sad fate was sealed
since i’m already answering this ask i’m going to go on a tenuously related tangent into some real talk here: one day i was in this massive suffocating funk and added 160 karezi posts to my queue and set them to post twice a day, which seemed to be a reasonable rate of shipping garbage to general garbage in my blog. In hindsight tho it turns out i’ve been drowning into a legit depressive episode since sometime in mid-march and the final homestuck acts completely fucking blasted my soul into a non-functional wasteland so i haven’t been able to produce much content, garbage or otherwise, and now my blog is almost entirely shit i reblogged from ruf1ohn1tram two months ago, and I have this vague feeling I should probably apologize for that, or something.
This is just a PSA because I don’t think I’ve been able to talk about my tenuous sanity status in public at any point during the last couple months, but i’ve just survived two weeks of sneezing literal pus out of my nostrils so i’m feeling brave. There we go. I’m a fucking mess, god help me

so i saw that part of the problem here is you're not getting enough asks/not getting the right kind of asks. maybe that's partially due to the fact that you don't allow anonymous messaging? i believe i've sent you asks before asking why you don't, and i can only assume it's so you don't get spammed with hate or obnoxious asks. but a lot of people, myself included, become nervous when not presented an anon option, even if the question we have is totally innocent/appropriate. it's uncomfortable.
(i get the need for anonymous asks, but due to experiences in the past, it’s a smarter decision in my mind not to allow anons. for one thing, we were always accused of sending questions to ourselves to answer, which was never the case but it was annoying. secondly, this blog has actually received a number of harassing/uncomfortable asks off anon, and that way it’s easier for us to block anyone or know who to avoid later on in our own personal blogs. lastly, having anon on gives people the option to send multiple asks. people do this anyways, but pretty soon you start to see a pattern that only one persons asks are being answered! i like to pace it out and pick asks from people who don’t turn up in the inbox as often, especially if they ask a substantial question. it’s nice to hear from a variety of people who really, actually exist, rather than anons, who could be bots or spammers.
and, if having your name attached to something you ask makes you uncomfortable, you don’t have to ask it! but it puts a lot more merit behind your question to ask it off anon, at least to me. and if that’s the issue with sending in asks, then i understand that. but it’s a lot less of a hassle to just have anon off completely! one bad apple can ruin a whole bushel.)
