would that be an interesting thing to make difficulty-based though… like is talking to every npc to see if they have something new to say challenging or just obnoxious
i’m actually taking care to make interaction with NPCs very minimal. i don’t intend to include any mandatory cutscenes or lengthy dialogue that progresses the story, but i’m planning some sidequests based on the logic of point-and-click games. essentially logic puzzles based on interaction with things. i’m worried that a prompting-system will spell out the chain of events you need to follow

i can spend more time engaging w comics in one sitting than i can with tv or books, i think it’s my brain’s preferred format
same. for me i think it’s partially because prose requires a lot of mental energy and focus to consume, whereas television is more auditory than i like and mostly live-action, which does not interest me at all. comics are like the visual side of animated tv + the quiet thoughtfulness of books at the same time
