Now that Iāve peeled myself off the floor I have to rec this, which is one of the fics Iāve read a thousand times and will read a thousand more. This is the first fic I ever called chocolate cake, and one of the very first I ever left a comment on in my earliest days of unlurking. Synesthetically, this is one of my spun-glass fics: hard, delicate, achingly intricate, with light shining through it. This is writing that makes me forget to breathe. If you havenāt read it, run and read it now!

I cant sleep today, so I decide to make a list of my all time favorite Drarry fics. Here goes:
Ā Antediluvia (zeitgeistic, 50k words) - Everyone always forgets about the Merpeople. So did Harry until the day his, Leeās, and Hermioneās Portkeys land at Reagan National Airportās Arrivals dais. Heās just had to leave a job he loves and pack his entire lifeāliterallyāinto his luggage. Then Malfoy and his subplots arrive, and suddenly, saving the world again, one Mermaid at a time, sounds like the perfect excuse to do something heās always wanted. (basically, the story is about Draco, Harry, Lee, Hermione, Parvati, Luna and Narcissa tried to save a contaminated ocean and also the mermaid community who lived there. what I love about this fic is how detailed the author portrays the environmental issue, and also the way they describe draco + harry interaction.)
Harry Potter Gives a ShitĀ (talithan, 50k words) -Ā āWhere are you headed?ā āNo place special,ā Draco fumbled, and flushed further. But then: āI can change that,ā said Harry Potter. (I love everything about this fic. Harry is a little bit asshole at the first, but apparently he got some issue and Draco helped him to fix things. Thereās also Ginny and Astoria, who is not only being supportive to both of them, but also being kind and loving. Personally i love Ginny in this fic bc sheās so compassionate towards Draco and surprise surprise, theyāre bff. totally a must read).
Charmed Confections (Alisanne, 30k words) -Ā Thereās a new bakery in town, and Harry is obsessed with the luscious lemon fairy cakes. And with discovering the identity of the mystery chef. (this fic made me hungry whenever i read it because iām a sucker for sweet things and this fic contains a detailed description of fairy cakes, which happens to be one of my favorite food. lol. draco opened a bakery and harry, being harry, tried to seeĀ āwhat malfoy up toā and apply for a job as dracoās apprentice in his bakery. a very cute story.)
A Ghost in the Garden (thistle_verse, 20k words) -Ā That night Draco dreams, and he is the ghost in his garden. He is both silvered figment and his own solid and flesh face pressing against the window, watching. Spinning and spun, haunting and haunted. Turned and turning, an open mouth with no sound. (this fic is very brilliant. it feels like youāre reading a poetry. it is beautifully done, and honestly this fic is like my writing goals. in this fic, draco has a severe drinking problems in this fic and at the same time he has to live with harry for a while because of a mission they had to worked on together.)
Stately Homes of Wiltshire (waspabi, 50k words) -Ā Malfoy Manor has mould, dry rot and an infestation of unusually historical poltergeists. Harry Potter is on the case. (honestly, waspabi is one of my favorite fic writer. their fic is well written, and also i love they way they characterize harry and draco. in this fic, dracoās house is manifested by a bunch of poltergeist and harryāwho happens to be an aurorāis send to solved the problem on dracoās house. this fic made me laugh every single time).
