@staff @support This is a major problem and I'm fuckin sick of it. I've read this long post before about the dangers of doctors treating people's weight before actually treating them as a person and this long ass post full of anecdotes of people getting sick and dying due to our focus on weight loss is IMMEDIATELY followed by one of these shitty ads for whatever bullshit keto thing y'all got paid for this month. I need the ability to block/report ads.

I don’t have the spoons to deal with your skinny tears today. This is not a matter of opinion. Discrimination is not a matter of opinion but people with the privilege to not be discriminated against always think it is. It’s the same when black people have to explain that reverse-racism doesn’t exist and when lgbt people have to explain that heterophobia doesn’t exist and women have to explain that misandry doesn’t exist.

Skinny-shaming does not exist.

And btw, just by referring to any weight as “normal” and telling me I can lose weight will “better my life” is enough to prove that you’re ignorant. And telling someone who literally is a victim of discrimination - real discrimination, not “eat a cheeseburger” - that they’re determined to be a victim is the most offensive and ignorant thing you could say.

As if people who are thin are the enemy and the reason for all the problems in the world. As if the world should cater to your spoiled ass, when in reality the world just caters to the most common demographic.

It doesn’t make you a bad-ass; it makes you an angry ball of impotence, lying to yourself and everyone else about having anything meaningful to contribute.
