im so small and i was born two minutes ago in the rain in a wet cardboard box all alone what does c7 king ap fl mean i can guess like. half of it.
Incredible way to start an ask… anyway, C7 KING AP FL is the text that was on the white board when Becca was admitted to the hospital.
It was seen in the background of a still and me and several other accounts pointed it out and lost our minds. It’s become kind of the Kingdon code now because it represents their relationship (as the scenes with Becca are in fact everything to us).
To further explain because I’m insane and know this off the top of my head-
C7 - Central seven or Becca’s room number
King - Becca/Mel’s last name is the patient identifier used
AP - abdominal pain, her chief compliant that brought her to the ER
FL- Franks initials placed in the doctor section of the board
I am an old dog sitting on a stoop ready and willing to answer any Kingdon questions you may have as I know TOO MUCH. I have been here since ep 5 of S1 was airing and I remember when the Kingdon ao3 was like twelve works and I wish to impart my fangirl wisdom if you have questions!
Hope this helps 💗
sleepover saturday! top three kingdon scenes!!
3) "You're making a really great first impression."
This was when Frank went out of his way to find Mel and tell her that Terrence wanted to say goodbye to her, and then he stayed there even longer with her to talk to her and like gas her up basically. I point to this scene when I see people be like, "But Frank wasn't that different with Mel than he was with anyone else! He's not nice!" Which is a whole other conversation but basically, he didn't have to go out of his way to find her and make sure that he delivered Terrence's message to her. And he was so kind and complimentary to Mel on top of it!
2) "Captain Scurvy is another joke." "I'd like to think so."
You can't tell me this wasn't flirting. The leaning? The smiles and the eye contact? Mel engaging with Frank in the joke even though she doesn't necessarily understand them at first? Frank's smile when Mel realizes it is a joke? That scene makes me giggle.
1) "If you're ready, I need you."
Just the whole break room scene in general. First, because Frank knew that Mel needed a break and knew that she would like to spend time with a dog and sent her there. He knows what she needs! (But he doesn't know what his own wife needs lol.) Frank is so soft and gentle with Mel here in a way that is just insane for someone you've only known for a handful of hours. And Mel just looks up at Frank in awe almost? And fascination, too. Kind of like, "How is this competent and confident and way more experienced ER doctor sharing this with me, and we've known each other less than a day?" Everything about that scene was just so instantly iconic: sitting on the floor beside each other, Frank petting the dog between Mel's legs, the soft looks, the kind words, the gentleness and reassurance of the scene in general. Everything about it was just so well done and so well acted and was a really wonderful foundation for what is building between Mel and Frank.
*honorable mention*
When Frank was watching Mel with Terrence, of course. Whenever people say that Mel and Frank are sibling-coded, I point that scene and I'm like, "If your siblings are looking at you like that, I have Thoughts and Opinions and also just Questions in general." I forget what the script said specifically about what look Frank was supposed to have there, but our man Patrick went straight past that direction and went right to enamored (in my opinion, anyway lol).
