I said it twice and I will say it again; if he was in his late 20s and early 30’s I highly doubt we would’ve gotten the same conclusion.
It’s a bit telling that he was literally 39 when this stage of his life started. Not 37, 38. But exactly 39 - leaving behind the biggest role of his career, 40 on the horizon, life goals left to complete and all this compounded by Covid. I’m guessing he was thinking about his life and legacy (and his mortality) and using his own words that he was happy to say in his SMA interview, turning 40 and being so “old” hit him all at once. That’s a significant part of the context behind all this imo.
Very telling; excellent point. And this is a really common thing; it’s not a Chris thing only. When I say I think right timing is the epicenter of this; I don’t say it for comfort; I have no problem admitting I don’t think for a second he’d marry her without love and I can even see what got him into her; also we don’t know him maybe we’re wrong about everything; but since we’re taking liberties here; seems he might have gotten to the point when men get a sense of urge; some overcome it, some don’t and let it control them; their decisions are led by the feeling of running out of time.
